Due to the amount of pets already in San Felipe, and the number of people bringing their own pets with them on vacations, we have included this area specifically for our four legged freinds.
What are the requirements for bringing my pet to Mexico with me?
There are alot more people who want to include their pets in their vacations here. I pulled the following information
from a really helpfull site http://www.usembassy-mexico.gov/eACSfaq.html.
You
can find the information for bringing you pet into Mexico in the
section marked "Customs – Bringing items into Mexico and the United
States."
You will need a certificate of health for the pet issued by a certified
veterinarian issued within fifteen days of departure. You also need a
valid certificate of vaccination showing that your pet has had all its
vaccinations within fifteen days of departure.
It would be best
to call Mexican government offices directly for complete information.
Contact the nearest Mexican Consulate in the United States, or the
"Direccion General de Inspeccion Fitozoosanitaria" in Mexico City, Tel.
011-52-5-571-3124 Fax 011-52-5-784-3231. The Secretariat of
Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development (SAGAR) has set out
Mexican regulations on its web page (in Spanish).
You can also get useful information from several U.S. agencies, including:
* U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.
* U.S. Customs Service.
* Center for Disease Control.
